RibbonThrust

Ribbon Fan-out + Stretch Thrust
E005 · TREND MOMENTUM FRAMEWORK · jybj.org

Overview

A single moving-average cross whipsaws when the market has not committed. RibbonThrust waits for a whole ribbon of twelve smoothed lines to fan out and agree on direction, then times entries with a normalized Stretch Line that measures how far price has pushed in units of recent volatility. Ribbon agrees + stretch thrusts = one clean, filtered signal.

How It Works

▲ Long Side

  • Fast ribbon (GMMA 3-15) fans out ABOVE the slow ribbon (30-60)
  • Stretch Line (PGO, period 21) thrusts ABOVE +0.6
  • Market Motion (ATR 14) at/above 50% of its 50-bar average

▼ Short Side

  • Fast ribbon fans out BELOW the slow ribbon
  • Stretch Line thrusts BELOW -0.6
  • Same volatility gate applies

Note. This is an educational framework for studying market structure — not a promise of results. Every plan carries draw-down risk; some opportunities end flat or in a give-back. Back-test 1-2 years of H1 data to confirm signal frequency before any live use, and size small.
