The idea in one line

Most simple frameworks get shredded in choppy, back-and-forth conditions. HullFairing measures how jagged the recent path is and simply stands aside whenever the water is rough. Only when the path is smooth does it act on a double-smoothed strength gauge — the way you would fair a hull before a fast run.

1 · Strength gauge (TSI)

Price push (up-move minus down-move) is smoothed twice and scaled by its own size, producing a clean −100…+100 dial of who is really pushing. A cross of the dial above its signal line points long; a cross below points short. The cross gives both the moment and the direction.

2 · Roughness gate (Fractal Dimension)

A reading near 1.0 means a glassy, one-way path; near 2.0 means a jagged zig-zag. Trades are only allowed when this reads below 1.5 — smooth water. Choppy water is skipped entirely.
